Last Minute changes!! (or cock-ups)
Manual Cock-u.....err....upgrade.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The manual refers often to disk 5! It now doesn't exist (due to skillful
programming!) Substitute 4 were you see 5.
Running the program with 1mb
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unfortunately due to severe memory limitations, you'll have run the
program from disk 1, which contains a seriously cut down version of
workbench. If you wish to run from your own workbench, then buy more ram.
Also you'll only be able to use 2 'floppy drives', and most importantly
you will not be able to use a 'hard drive'.(Mind you, if you're running a
hard drive on a 1mb system, then you should be shot anyway.)
Problems installing on the hard drive.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Possible reasons:-
1. You don't have enough memory! (see above.)
2. The directory you are running from does not conform to the ones I have
listed in the O'Manual. If this is the case then you'll need to go
into the shell and assign all 4 disks to your directory.
3. You haven't copied all the relevant files to your Seamus drawer.
4. You're crap?
Saving the Game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The game must be saved on disk 4, if you are playing with floppies. Or on
the hard drive for you power users. It is strongly recommended you run
disk 4 from a back-up, as corruption is possible.
Where's my crystal ball?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some of you Duane Dibley's, that actually read manuals, may have noticed
my word of encouragement to my footie team, Plymouth (Sad Gits) Argyle.
I actually wished them the best for promotion. Now, those of you that
take notice of league positions may well consider me to be a shade
optimistic in this surmisal, and with the abililty of hindsight I will
have to agree. (I also thought Leicester would win the premiership!).
P.S.....Don't be a stranger, write to me, or phone for a chin wag!!
The address is in the O'Manual, and in the Help system.
